News - Archive 2008 27th June 2008 EUROPARC at the COP9 ![]() From 27-30 May EUROPARC Federation was presenting the European Charter at the Plaza of Diversity, that was held parallel to High-Level-Segment of the 9th Conference of the Parties to the CBD. Furthermore, the European Charter and the brochure were presented at the BfN-Forum on Tourism and Biodiversity together with Stefan Fredlmeier, Frankenwald Tourism Service (D) and Josep Maria Prats, Zona Volcanica de la Garrotxa Nature Park (E).

30th April 2008 EUROPARC and the European Charter at the COP9 From 19-30 May the 9th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biodiversity will take place in the Maritim Hotel in Bonn, Germany. 26.01.2008 NEW: European Charter leaflet and exhibition panels In the framework of the EUROPARC project "European CharterNet" new communication materials were produced. The Charter leaflet was produced in English, German and French language and contains general information on the Charter, requirements from protected areas and tourism businesses for applying to Charter Part I and Charter Part II and lists benefits for the protected area and the tourism businesses from the Charter.

Three roll-up exhibtion panels were produced with information on the European Charter, the Charter principles and basic requirements for the protected areas and tourism businesses.
26.01.2008 EUROPARC and Association Rhin Vivant at Reisepavillon 2008 From 2nd to 4th February 2007, EUROPARC Federation participated at the Reisepavillon in Hannover – the international marketplace for alternative travel. At a joint stand together with TUI AG and CMS (Convention on Migratory Species) EUROPARC presented its work with a focus on the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism. This included general information panels about EUROPARC Federation and the Charter in particular as well as the presentation of information material (leaflets, flyers, brochures) from the protected areas.

26.01.2008 Marketing & Communications Working Group met at Reisepavillon 2008
On Saturday, 19 January,
an informal meeting of the Marketing & Communications Working Group took
place at the Reisepavillon in Stuttgart.During the meeting the group
agreed on its organisational and operational structure and defined various
activities to be implemented in the future. People from the Charter
network interested in participating in the group or in the resolution
