Annual EUROPARC Conference

The annual EUROPARC Conference and General Assembly takes place in a different European country each year, and brings together 500 professionals from protected areas, ministries responsible for protected areas and major European conservation organisations.
The conference is allocated a different theme each year: a subject of current importance for European protected area. In plenary sessions and thematic workshops, participants are able to explore the topics issues and develop common solutions and recommendations for future work.
Quality management in protected areas in 2011
The EUROPARC Conference 2011 took place in the Schwabische Alb Biosphere Reserve, Bad Urach, Germany from 21st - 25th September. Conference delegates took part in an innovative four days focused on the theme ' Quality Counts - Benefits for Nature and People'
Taking a closer look at biodiversity in 2010
In 2010 we will be in Abruzzo, Lazio e Molise National Park (IT) from 29th September to 02nd October exploring the theme "Living Together. Biodiversity and Human Activities: A Challenge for the Future of Protected Areas". More information about the conference.
Celebrating 100 Years of Europes National Parks in 2009
In 2009 EUROPARC celebrated 100 years of national parks in Europe in Sweden, the home of the first national park in Europe from 09th-13th September. The official conference title was: 100 years of National Parks in Europe. A shared inheritance; A common future.
