Taking the Charter Network forward

The European Charter Network has grown significantly in the last years and in order to maintain this momentum a project proposal for an INTERREG IVC will be developed by the network taking the European Charter to the next level! The project not only aims at strengthening and promoting the existing Charter Network and further developing the implementation of sustainable tourism but also at enlarging the Network to the new EU member states and building partnerships to share ideas and exchange expertise. The project looks at developing sustainable tourism products in protected areas and will help to promote Charter protected areas as an excellent sustainable tourism destination network across Europe and beyond.
How YOU can take part!
The Federation will be a project partner but the project needs partners from at least three countries. EUROPARC invites regional governments or protected area authorities belonging to the Charter Network to be project leader or to participate as project partner in the INTERREG project. As a partner you would contribute with staff time, the organisation of seminars, conferences and study visits, the production of publications and the internet site etc. Don't miss out the chance to improve sustainable tourism in your region!
