Workshops
Date: Saturday September 12 (9AM - 3PM)

Workshops are an important element of the EUROPARC Federation Conference. They provide an opportunity for members to discuss strategic and technical topics in more detail. It is a chance also, to members to hear of new developments, ideas and best practice in the specific workshop topics. They are also a great opportunity to delve into a subject and engage in interesting discussions with colleagues from all over Europe.
The 15 workshop topics listed below were chosen to highlight important aspects of the conference theme 100 years of National Parks in Europe: a Shared Inheritance, a Common Future. Priority areas in the European environmental agenda, including biodiversity, climate change and the marine environment, were also considered when developing workshop themes. More detailed information on the workshop topics in English, French and German is available below.
Feedback
This year the EUROPARC Federation asked participants to give feedback on the workshops by answering two specific questions in particular:
a) What aspects of - workshop topic - should be the priority for EUROPARC to influence national and international policy-making?
b) What practical activities could be carried out to enable protected areas to contribute to and develop -workshop topic - in the future?
The answers to these questions were summarized in a feedback session after the workshops and can be found below.
