Transboundary Nature Conservation: Engaging Decision-Makers, Communities, and Media in a United Approach

In this webinar, we will explore engaging decision-makers, communities, and media in a united approach for transboundary nature conservation. As environmental challenges transcend borders, cooperation between countries, local communities, media, and policymakers is essential to achieving sustainable outcomes. This session will address the vital role cross-border collaboration plays in protecting ecosystems, focusing on how decision-makers, communities, and the media can work together to strengthen conservation efforts.
Key themes include:
  • The Role of Media: How the media can influence public perception, raise awareness, and shape policy on transboundary conservation.
  • Decision-Maker Engagement: Exploring how policymakers and international organisations like the European Commission and AEBR work to foster cooperation and overcome obstacles in cross-border conservation.
  • Community Involvement: Practical strategies for ensuring that local communities are engaged and active participants in protecting shared natural resources.
This webinar is designed for professionals in environmental policy, conservation, media, and anyone interested in collaborative approaches to nature protection across borders.
