Introduction to invertebrates workshop
Join Dr Gordon Port at this introductory event, offering an overview of insects and looking at how different orders can be recognised based on their body form, as part of our Cold-blooded and Spineless Project. The life histories of some of the larger groups will be reviewed and guidance on field techniques appropriate to different species and habitats offered.
We will spend the afternoon taking part in a Biohunt at Bowlees Quarry Special Invertebrate Site, joined by a range of experienced invertebrate recorders, sharing their techniques and knowledge. This workshop is suited to anyone interested in recording invertebrates, beginners welcome.
Tea and coffee provided.
This event is FREE.
