Cross-border bridge festival
We celebrate 150 years of the Thayabrücke Hardegg!
For more than 40 years, the bridge was a sad symbol of broken relations. Since the opening of the border in 1989, it has symbolized the connection between Austria and the Czech Republic and the cooperation between the two national parks.
The Thaya Bridge in Hardegg was opened in 1874. Hardegg is celebrating the 150th anniversary of the border bridge with a large, cross-border family festival. In addition to a colorful family program with nature and adventure stations run by rangers, visitors can look forward to music groups from both countries, acrobatic show acts, and culinary delights.
The program will be available from 15 April at www.np-thayatal.at and www.nppodyji.cz
No entry fee, passport required, no registration necessary.
