Since the restoration of an old orchard meadow in our landscape conservation area a few years ago, we have also been working closely with the primary school in Stadt Wehlen. Every year, we organise a biodiversity day with the pupils. Our aim is to sensitise our youngest pupils to their immediate surroundings and show them how important it is to protect this habitat. At four stations, pupils can learn about the habitat of apple trees, explore insects and plants and get creative with LandArt.
The concept for this was developed in 2016 as part of a voluntary ecological year.
