Respiro – art in the forest
Respiro – Art in the Forest, is a cultural welfare project in which art is created, promoted and enjoyed in nature, more precisely in a rural area and within a Natural Reserve, of the Monti Livornesi.
The commitment to confirm this artistic project year after year, now in its fifth edition, arises from the desire to promote and enhance the current and future potential of the Monti Livornesi Natural Reserve, encouraging the creation of a long-term development project that promotes the active participation of the surrounding rural communities, and not only, in public, social and cultural life.
Also this year there are many artists present, coming from different countries and artistic disciplines (visual art, music, dance, theatre), who meet, compare and dialogue with the surrounding environment and its rural communities.
This year will be present: Chiara Ripoli, Enrico Pantani & VV KIDZ, Giorgia Costagli, Fabio Provinciali, Kristin Jensen Romberg, Vincenzo Lipari, Isabel Rodriguez Ramos, Massimo Villani, Susanne Paetch, Samuele Alfani, Costanza Rosi, Luca Bellofiore, Naomi Berrill, Nicola Scarpellini, Agata Monti, Diego Bisso, Chiara Ceccarelli, Giovanni Maffucci, Nicoletta Boraso FAN, Mamo Studio Super, Anita Brandolini, Andris Pakalnins, Benedetta Fabbri, Duccio Maria Gambi.
Interpreting nature through artistic and creative activities, in fact, stimulates the senses, inspires reconnection with the natural elements and at the same time with one’s own creativity, with harmonious individual and community living, encouraging spontaneity in communication and interpersonal relationships, as well as new reflections on responsibility and environmental sustainability.
Respiro can be visited for free on May 26-29 and June 3-4-5-8 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Every year, children aged 3 to 5 from the kindergarten of Nibbiaia which groups together the three hilly hamlets of our Municipality visit the event, as well as a class from the primary school of the three hillside hamlets and people from the province as well as tourists. Generally, there are between 200 and 300 people who visit the event every year.
