Hike "Over hills and downs"
The hike dedicated to the European Day of Parks (EDoP) will lead along the eastern border of the national park and wind along country roads along Pakalna and Biža lakes. During the hike, we will enjoy the mosaic landscape of the Rāznava hills, get to know natural and cultural historical objects. We will also see the large stone – Kaziča Bikakmeni – located near the Rāzna National Park territory.
The length of the hiking route is ~ 12km.
During the hike, we will try to find as many species as possible to report them on the observation.org website. In this way, we will support the BioBlitz campaign in Natura 2000 territories, responding to the call of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for the Environment to celebrate the European Natura 2000 Day. This will contribute to the identification of species and help participants experience the beauty and diversity of local nature.
Clothing suitable for weather conditions and walking in nature and waterproof shoes are required.
You must have an ID with you.
Water, tea, and a snack will be useful.
