Europejski Dzień Parków Narodowych
To celebrate European Day of National Parks, we’re inviting you to an Open Day at Białowieża National Park. Come by on May 23 at 5:00 PM to the Park’s headquarters in Białowieża (in the old Park Restaurant building). You’ll get a chance to meet the people who work here, visit places that are usually off-limits, hear some lesser-known stories from the Park’s history, and see how everything works from the inside – in a place that’s been protecting the most valuable parts of the Forest for over 100 years.
What’s planned:
• Guided walk through selected spots, including the Tsar’s Gate
• A peek at archives and old books showing the Park’s past
• Chat about how the Park is funded and what the budget looks like
• The story of the European bison comeback – surprising facts and fun trivia
• Coffee and casual chats – a relaxed moment to ask questions and share your thoughts
Everyone’s welcome – locals, visitors, people connected to the region, or just curious about the Forest and its future. Let’s talk about what really matters in our everyday work – protecting nature and the challenges that come with it.
Together for Nature!
Partnership working will always bring the best results for people and nature!
