Cross‑border celebration of the Podyjí National Park anniversary
All four Czech National Parks (KRNAP, Šumava, Podyjí, and Bohemian Switzerland) have joined forces to celebrate the European Day of Parks with a single, unified voice. While each park hosts its own unique program, we share a common theme and coordinated communication to bridge our efforts into a single story. A vital part of this synergy is the active participation of local communities, highlighting the essential link between parks and the people living within them. From guided tours and creative workshops to live concerts, we target tourists, families, and outdoor enthusiasts. Below is the specific program organized by our national park as part of this joint and diverse national celebration.
On the occasion of the European Day of Protected Areas, we will celebrate 35 years since the designation of Podyjí National Park. We will present the most important conservation achievements, summarize the park’s history and key findings, and introduce new developments and plans. A varied family programme will include nature‑themed educational stations, games, and creative activities.
