Dove la natura si connelle: Montagne Grande tra paesaggi, sentieri e comunità
To mark European Day of Parks 2026, the Isola di Pantelleria National Park invites you to discover Montagna Grande as a place where nature, community and landscapes come together. The event kicks off with the opening of the new information point in the picnic area, a space designed to welcome, guide and assist visitors as they explore the area. This initiative strengthens the Park’s network of information points, serving as a local hub within a wider network that connects the environment, people and mindful enjoyment of the area. Following this, a guided walk will take participants through some of the island’s most evocative spots. Along the route, it will be possible to grasp the connections linking habitats, species and landscapes, understanding how every natural element is part of an interconnected system, from the local to the European level.
The initiative is open to visitors and the local community and is designed as a participatory event, aimed at strengthening dialogue and collaboration between the various stakeholders in the area, with a view to shared and sustainable management. The event is intended as an invitation to view the area with fresh eyes: not as a collection of separate places, but as a living network, to be understood, respected and protected.
