At the opening of the event, discussions will focus on the importance of the designation and the values of national parks. Special attention will also be given to the importance of protecting them for future generations, as well as educating young generations about the protection of nature in Kosovo’s national parks.
Institutional representatives attending the event will include representatives from the Kosovo Environmental Protection Agency and the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency, as well as representatives from the Sharri National Park and Bjeshkët e Nemuna National Park. Representatives from the Embassy of Sweden in Kosovo, children’s associations, and other participants will also be present.
Children will engage in discussions about biodiversity, particularly related to Sharri National Park, and a walk will also be organized along the already established “Kosovo–Sweden” trail.
The event will be covered by local and national radio and television media outlets.
