Together we are stronger. Cooperation is the key.
European Habitats Forum
The European Habitats Forum (EHF) gathers more than 20 European nature conservation organisations. This forum aims to provide recommendations regarding the development and implementation of the European policies on biodiversity and nature in general. The main objective is to influence policies and ensure that the EU maintains significant efforts in terms of biodiversity. Discussing and debating together, we coordinate our actions through advocacy and joint initiatives, such as joint documents. These documents are available on the IUCN website. IUCN is in charge of the EHF Secretariat.
The Forum provides advice and knowledge on relevant issues to the European Commission and is represented in various fora, including the Commission expert group on the Birds and Habitats Directives (NADEG), the EU Biodiversity Platform and the Nature Directors meetings.
EU Platform on Coexistence between people and large carnivores
The EU Platform on Coexistence between people and large carnivores brings together organisations representing different interest groups which have agreed a joint mission to:
To promote ways and means to minimize, and wherever possible find solutions to, conflicts between human interests and the presence of large carnivore species, by exchanging knowledge and by working together in an open-ended, constructive and mutually respectful way.
Please find more information at the official website.
EU Food Policy Coalition
EUROPARC also participates in the EU Food Policy Coalition (FPC) that works towards policy integration and alignment at the EU-level to facilitate the transition to sustainable food systems. The Coalition provides a space to discuss policies and, sometimes, carry out joint activities.
