As the leading organisation for Protected Areas in Europe, EUROPARC invites all organisations and individuals engaged in related work to join us in advancing our vision and mission.
EUROPARC Federation aims to:
- Promote the activities and values of organisations and individuals dedicated to Protected Areas.
- Enhance environmental awareness, education, and capacity building for Protected Areas across Europe.
- Foster international cooperation through multi- and transnational partnerships.
- Provide mutual support and assistance by creating networks, exchanging ideas, skills, and experiences, and offering training on legislation, policy, and management of Protected Areas.
- Advocate for Protected Areas with European institutions, national governments, and both international and national NGOs, strengthening actions aligned with our goals.
- Raise public understanding and support for the interests of European Protected Areas.

Joining EUROPARC Federation
EUROPARC membership is structured into diverse categories to accommodate the breadth and depth of engagement in nature conservation and Protected Area management. Each category serves a unique purpose, reflecting the scope and scale of organisations involved in safeguarding our natural heritage.
STEP 1: Please familise yourself with membership categories below and select the one that best represents your organisation.
Group A: Organisations working at an international level, across 2 or more countries
Group B: Organisations working at a national or federal level within one country
Group C: Organisations working at a regional level within a country
Group D: Organisations working at a local level. Below regional within a region or country
Group E: Parks and other Protected Areas
Group F: Supporting Organisations
STEP 2: EUROPARC Federation, being a membership organisation, collects membership fees annually. These fees are mandatory for all, and they are also essential for the organisation to deliver top-notch services to its members. For detailed information on membership fees, please refer to this page.
STEP 3: Having familiarised yourself with the categories and fees, you are now ready to submit your application for enrolment:
Submit your application!STEP 4: After completing and submitting the form, we will review it and return it to you in PDF format. At this stage, you need to sign the PDF document electronically or with a normal pen and send the signed version back to us.
STEP 5: The EUROPARC Council will review the signed application form within two working weeks.
STEP 6: After the Council reaches a decision, we will inform you of the outcome.
