Europe’s natural heritage knows no boundaries: therefore, in order to sustainably and effectively manage these natural resources, EUROPARC believes that the future protection and conservation of nature and landscapes is best achieved through networking and cooperation. Mutual understanding, shared experiences, knowledge and innovation in policy and practice are the drivers of good Protected Area management and eventually lead to better nature conservation.

EUROPARC has no shortage of project ideas in the pipeline and is working together with its member Protected Areas to develop them into full project proposals. We are keen to undertake more work in the fields of youth involvement in Protected Areas, develop the Charter for Sustainable Tourism further and look into synergies between agriculture and Protected Areas as well as Protected Area management effectiveness, cross-border cooperation  and many other topics.
