Partnerships for biodiversity: European policies and the role of Protected Areas

Each year the EUROPARC Federation together with the European Commission organises a Seminar-Dialogue “Partnerships for biodiversity: European policies and the role of Protected Areas”. It is a networking event matching policy with practice and promoting an active dialogue between EU policymakers and those implementing EU legislation and policy on the ground.

The event is intended to the EUROPARC members coming from all over Europe, representing the work of Protected Areas and Natura 2000 sites, regional and national authorities but also private businesses successfully working in partnership with protected areas.

From the European Commission, participants are from the different Directorates-General depending on each year’s theme and discussion topics. Often the event is organised with the Directorate General for Environment (DG ENV) as the policies they work with relate often most closely with Protected Areas.

Stay tuned and don’t miss your chance to participate in the next Seminar-Dialogue!
