2024 Mini Youth+ Camp
From the 31st of July to the 5th of August, the Dutch Youth+ers, the Youth Council and a few invitees spent a long weekend camping in a field in Heino, the Netherlands.
The camp was organised by Thea Peters from IVN with a small remaining budget from the 2023 Conference in Leeuwarden, assisted by Karlijn Barf from the EUROPARC Youth Council.
There were a total of 16 young people form 6 different countries. The programme was very diverse, from creative, sharing knowledge, finding our voice, to practical work such as hedge maintenance. The Dutch Youth+ group also spent time brainstorming a concrete plan of action for the years to come while the Youth Council worked on the plans for European Youth in Parks Day and the selection process for the next Youth Representative. Thea also organised trips out into National Parks and Heritage sites where she lead workshops on the sustainable development goals.
