Each year the EUROPARC Federation together with the Directorate-General for Environment- Nature Unit of the European Commission organises the Seminar-Dialogue “Partnerships for biodiversity: European policies and the role of Protected Areas” , a networking event matching policy with practice and promoting an active dialogue between EU policymakers and those implementing EU nature directives on the ground.

It is destined to the EUROPARC members coming from all over Europe, representing the work of Protected Areas and Natura 2000, regional and national authorities but also private businesses successfully working in partnership with protected areas management.

From Brussels, participants are officers of the European Commission DG Environment (ENVI), DG Regional and Urban Policy (REGIO,) DG Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs (GROW), DG CLIMA, DG Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (EAC) and we hope in the future to involve more DGs.
