Early in the morning at river Thaya, there are mystical moments when fog rises above the water. Animals like Beaver, Black stork, and Eurasian river otter are already active at this time and with some luck, we may spot them foraging or wandering around.

We will start high above the Thaya valley at Granitzsteig trail and follow down the path to the river bank. There we will walk along the course of the river together with Ranger Gerhard Gutkas and maybe see some of the shy Thayatal inhibitants.
