Guided hiking tour along the Bihari Plain trail. The programme will mainly focus on the observation of nesting waterbirds, but you will also have the opportunity to see late migratory species. We will also have a good chance to observe hatchlings of shorebirds such as Avocets. In addition, we will also visit the nesting sites of Red-footed falcons and Rollers. High magnification binoculars with tripods will be provided during the tour, giving us an excellent opportunity to view dozens of bird species. Observation will be partly from an observation tower. The tour is approximately 5 km long. Weather appropriate layered clothing and hand binoculars are recommended. The program is weather dependent and requires advance registration!

Meeting place: 47°16’02.88 “N, 21°25’02.60 “E, outside Berettyóújfalu, driving from Berettyóújfalu towards Földes on the main road 42, 800 meters after the Keleti main canal, turning north on a gravel road.
Participation fee: 1500 HUF/person, payable in cash only at the start of the tour. If you are not able to participate, please let us know!
