A taste of Nature, 21 May from 10 am – 4 pm
On May 21 we will organize a tasty experience ride on the bike. Along the way you get a bite, you make a natural work of art to taste and drink our herbal tea from nature. Starting point of the tour is the visitor center.
Edible Nature, 21 May
On May 21 along join the guided tour “Seeking the edible nature in the Cape forests” and make yourself a tasty soup, tea or kruiden’boter with a piece of baguette.
Eat and be eaten on the farm, 22 May
The Forestry Commission shows on May 22 the first road to the new trivia walk ” eat and be eaten on the farm ” on estate Broekhuizen. Find out what we ate 100 years ago and picking and test yourself! There is also a taste cycle route through the varied landscape of the Heuvelrug and Kromme Rijn region along nice area shops and tea gardens.
Weerribben-Wieden Week, 21 – 29 may
The Weerribben-Wieden Week is a week full of activities for the residents of De Weerribben-Wieden National Park and visitors. Every day there is something going on and the focus of activities is on the Day of the National Park: Tuesday, May 24th.
Visitor’s Day De Alde Feanen National Park, 22 May
The Visitors day is the perfect opportunity to get to know the National Park, with lots of free activities in and around the visitor centre and demonstration of local products.
These days there are various activities in the National Park Oosterschelde. So participants can look for oysters, mussels and krukels during the excursion Zealand Brackish Glory in Wemeldinge, take a boat trip from Burghsluis or seal trip from Wolphaartsdijk or Yeseke. Natuurmonumenten organizes this day outdoor workshop on the weather from the Lord Shack Restaurant. Participants will learn include how to read the hygrometer (humidity), barometer (air pressure) and anemometer (wind speed) and what conclusions we can connect to it.
A taste of Nature at Dwingelderveld NP, May 22 from 10 am to 5 pm
The day will be filled with all kinds of activities in and around the Nature’s Gate. For those who wish, it is possible to start the day at 6.00 am with a morning excursion. Or join picking wild safari and then bake your own nature pizza! The foresters stand all day in a marquee at the Boslounge to answer questions about the Dwingelderveld. This year it is, after all, 25 years ago, the area became a national park; but why?
