Enhancing Urban Biodiversity through Nature Ambassadors

Câmara Municipal de Lisboa implemented Nature based Solutions to enhance biodiversity. They created a shelter for foxes and small ponds for amphibians, in public parks and schools. The general public was involved through field trips where they could acquire competencies in the identification of solutions to enhance biodiversity, thereby becoming nature ambassadors.

There was positive feedback from participants, who applied some of the biodiversity enhancement strategies learned in their private gardens and workplaces.
