European Day of Parks #ParksForHealth

Sweden, 24th May 1909: Europe´s first National Parks were created. 111 years later, on the European Day of Parks, #Parks & #Protectedareas across Europe reinvented themselves to celebrate nature with you – with all of you who could not enjoy your Park, and with all the others who were lucky to.

Parks are here today, as they will be every other day, caring for people if people care for them too.
On this 24th of May, this is our message, as the collective voice of Europe´s Protected Areas, for nature and for people in Europe. #ParksForHealth

Since 1999, the EUROPARC Federation promotes de European Day of Parks, on the 24th of May, and challenges Parks and Protected Areas across Europe to organise events for their local community and share the importance of their work.
