Színpompás gyurgyalagok nyomában/On the trail of colourful Bee-eaters
On Saturday 27 May, we can visit the nesting sites of the protected Sand martin (Riparia riparia) and the protected European bee-eater (Merops apiaster), and then we can learn about the surface forms and the history of the “kurgans” in the northern part of the Nagykunság during an easy hiking tour. The programme is weather dependent and includes a walk of about 5 km. The programme concludes with a short online quiz to test your newly acquired knowledge. Please check the road conditions in the days before the walk, as you may need rubber boots.
