What are the motivation factors of individuals working/collaborating in biodiversity initiatives?
“Combining internal and external motivations in multi-actor governance arrangements for biodiversity and ecosystem services analyses the possibility of building a mutually supportive dynamics between internally and externally motivated behaviour for biodiversity conservation and ecosystem services provision”.
By analysing 34 successful cases in 7 european countries, the authors defined a set of pshycho-social features that could help designing multi-actor governance arrangements.

This paper was developed within the context of the FP7 BIOMOT project “Motivational strength of ecosystem services and alternative ways to express the value of biodiversity – addresses the problem of building and sustaining motivation to act for biodiversity by means of a comprehensive rethinking of what value and motivation actually are for people”.
BioEUParks final conference: 3rd March 2016 in Brussels, Committee of the Regions
This event is being organised in the frame of the project BioEUParks, which aimed at developing an efficient and sustainable biomass supply chain in 5 European Nature Parks. The EUROPARC Federation is one of the project partners, in particular in charge of organising the final conference.
Purpose of the conference is to transfer, in a European context, the experience done by the project to a selected and already experienced public, such as EU policy and decision makers, protected areas managers as well as other organisations involved in the area of renewable energy.
